Gillette travel razors were made for folk who had to travel extremely light, This razor weighs a mere 25 grams and is only 55 mm tall with the handle screwed in.

This razor comes in a plastic pouch with some space for a box of blades. By looking at the blades and the piece of cardboard between the cap and baseplate, I’d guess the razor was never used, maybe bought and set aside for that special trip that never realized. That is the thing about vintage gear, it makes the mind wonder to strange and lovely places….with strange and lovely people…
