Description
Something old in something new….What is new? We used ostrich oil in the soft version of this soap, and oh boy has it given this soap some legs! This is an all natural, soft, rich and creamy soap that kicks butt ! ‘The old’ is something we have not offered yet; the classic scent of spices from a distant time and place. This fragrance is well balanced and we are sure it is going to become very popular with shavers leaning towards the ‘old-old school’. The spicy fragrance is subtle enough to have you enjoy a gentle, slow-rocking camel ride to shave-nirvana, and won’t fill the room like harem full of neglected wives. This is a soft soap that loads quickly and easily on your brush, it has all the great all-round properties one would expect of a quality soap, but we will wait for your reviews to decide what properties about it are loved the most. We have also found this, and our three other all natural tallow/veg oil blended soaps to be most effective in creating and maintaining gel tips on brushes, so if you dig that you have to try this one out. This fragrance is a must-have in every hardcore shaver’s inventory as it resembles something that would have been blended at the very early stages of the production of soaps designed specifically for shaving. This soap is labeled on the side for easy identification when taking a pick from your stack, and also has instructions should you present it as a gift to an inexperienced wet-shaver Available in our tub with a total weight of around 220 grams, and also in a 160 gram refill. Weights may vary slightly on account of various factors such as curing, it’s age and the pour itself.
The harder version of the soap has a plant oil and glycerine base which is a new addition to our soap base offerings. This soap was specifically developed as a combination soap for shaving, body, beard and hair washing, a high quality product that performs very well in any of these tasks. The result is a single bar of soap that can be used for those times when you cannot pack a lot, but still need to come out the other side looking and smelling a million bucks. As this soap is made from sustainably sourced palm oil it can also be classified as vegan. Since it is harder, it is also a bit more economical than the softy, and also comes in slightly cheaper in purchase price on account of less ingredients.
This range of products are well suited for folks looking for products that are all natural, as it has no synthetic oils in the formulation.
This soap is also offered in a refill, so hang on to your tubs and save some boodle and the environment!

Insanely Awesome.
So I used my Spicy Passage soap for the first time today After it arrived on Monday. First of all, WOW the scent is effing awesome. If I had known this was a bay-rum type scent I would have bought this along time ago. Ever since it arrived I’ve been sniffing it every couple of hours like a street corner glue sniffer that’s how amazing this soap smells. With the shave , the scent was just perfect , not underwhelming or overpowering but just right making your shave a relaxing comforting and a general around pleasant experience. It lathers quite easily with a rich creamy lather with superb slickness . There was also a good amount of residual slickness after rinsing off after every pass. It allowed the blade to glide accross my face easily and smoothly with no irritation. It also left my face nice and soft and smooth with a lightly moisturized feeling not dry and tight at all. This is a fantastic soap. Well done Jaco and Bundubeard. Every South African shaver should have at least one South African made artisan soap in his collection. Bundubeard ‘s Spicy Passage is my recommendation and my personal choice.

Top Class
This is a superb shaving soap, lovely bay rum and spicy notes with a subtle post shave tingle. The lather is so luxuriant, smooth and seems to last forever. The tallow and oils make for a magnificently slick and smooth shave. I enjoy glycerine based soaps but this is easily the best shaving soap I have used

Bay Rum
If I had known this had the Bay Rum smell it would’ve my 1st purchase…simply great, I love the way it combines with water and that I can get a thinner slicker lather, which I prefer because I can see better…

Spicy Adventure!
Spicy Passage is an understatement! This is a Spice Adventure! It’s a wonderful scent, complex & masculine but still wonderfully refreshing. A permanent soap in my rotation for sure. I enjoy picking out all the different notes as I shave. It leaves a great scent on the skin & permeates the bathroom as I leave it to dry before sealing it up again. The soap is rich & creamy. It lathers beautifully with minimal effort, no need to beat up your brush. Stiff shiny peaks in moments. The soap is soft but not a cream exactly what I hoped for. The blade just glides over your skin with ease. It works so well with my razor/blade choice. Natural tallow & Ostrich oil base is the way to go. I will be trying out all the tallow/natural oil base soaps Jaco has to offer for sure. If you haven’t tried this soap out be prepared for a blast. It’s like no other soap I’ve tried before. Well Done to Jaco on this wonderful creation!
