    Build Quality

C34 makes me look forward to shaving again. You can feel in the build quality what you are getting . So it is worth spending on . Highly recommend

    Merkur 34C Razor

An excellent product perfectly described. It’s a well made razor that is comfortable to use, is not at all aggressive and somehow gives a really satisfying shave. The sample Merkur blade provided with the razor worked a treat and I will be ordering more of them. Service from Bunubeard was, as always, exemplary (complementary pack of trial blades, aftershave balm and prompt).

    My first safety razor

Bought the Merkur 34c as my first safety razor which is considered to be the de facto entry point into the ritual. I am well impressed, it is well balanced and has a great heft to it, this is definitely not a disposable plastic toy.

    34C - A classic from Solingen

As a Merkur fan (starting out with Vision 2000 then onto Futur – both adjustables), this fixed beauty really delivers. A 2-piece razor, the blade loading is easy; allignment is spot-on; balance is perfect; easy maneuverability comes with a short handle; patterned handle provides positive grip; the chrome finish pops; and in the looks-department, it’s as retro as it is classic. 007 would use one. But wait… he does; his trusty Hoffritz made by, you guessed it… Merkur. The 34C has around since before WW2, where German tooling has remained consistent throughout the decades. This is one razor you’ll use and cherish for years to come and perhaps pass it on to the next generation. Medium shave – yes. The forgiving safety bar-to-blade ratio distance setting means it’s near impossible to nick oneself. A shallow learning curve. Perfect companion to your travels (from Limpopo to Istanbul on the Orient Express); equally good at home on the display shelf. I challenge anyone to recommend a better tool of trade for those embarking down their first wet shave experience.
